I started this blog as a hobby and also an experiment.
I am semi-retired. One thing I am hoping to do is to use the extra time that I now have, to explore some of my hobbies and find something that I am passionate about!
I've always been interested in finance, and in short, getting rich! Since I was about 13 years old, I have tried to learn all that I can in getting rich. From simple things to do with finances, to the best investment strategies and everything in between - if it was about money or building wealth, I wanted to read it!
Through the years, I refined my investment strategy
, which actually simplified over time and also took to learning more about philosophy of life. After all, if getting rich was a mathematical certainty, I wanted to make sure that I would still be happy by the end of it.
After 5 years of full-time work, I had a share portfolio in excess of $100,000 and all the while, I never earned more than $35,000 per annum. I was well ahead of my peers and while they knew I loved investing, I don't think they had any idea how much I was stacking away. From this relaxed job, I started in a fast paced, aggressive job that consumed most of my life. While it was difficult, I didn't waste the opportunity to start stacking away much higher pay levels. I hardly even increased my spending.
Through this blog, I want to provide tips on how everyday people (with a local insight to Australia) on how they can improve their finances, getting in better financial shape, building wealth and investments and ultimately seeing a light at the end of the tunnel, which is having so much money that you never have to work again!
I plan to provide a step by step guide to go from in a financial wreck to financially independent, where anyone can tips and move along the path no matter where you are at, and mix this with a bit of philosophy of life.
Happy reading and please comment and get involved! Feel free to ask any question.
Peace!
