Why A Life Of Luxury Isn't Just For The Mega Rich!

Good news, you can live a much better life than you dream for much less than you think!

Have you ever dreamed of being able to do whatever you want, wherever you want with whoever you want? It's all possible and you don't need to earn $500,000 per year to achieve it. In fact, if you do earn that much, you'll find it very hard to get enough time off work to do those things.

What does a life of luxury look like for you? For me it might mean doing 2 days a week of paid work that I actually enjoy, maybe working Tuesday and Wednesday and NEVER on Monday. I would hit the gym everyday as one of my hobbies and work on my physique. I'd use a dreamline to figure out all the exciting things I want to learn, be, do and have and use my abundance of free time towards those things.


So what does it take to live a life like this? Well have you ever sat down and done the calculations? For me, a life life this costs about $25,000 per annum and this includes a $5,000 per year travel budget. I know of people loving life on $7,000 per annum and a family living in luxury for $25,000 per year.

So if you're similar to me, and you can live the life you dream of for  $25,000 per annum, then how can you afford it?

My dream life has 2 paid days of work I love which pays me about $370/week or $19,240/year. So I need to generate $5,760 / year from investments or passive income. Using the 4% rule which assumes I can draw 4% from my growth investments per year and never run out of money, then I need $144,000 invested.

So for $144,000 I can semi-retire and live the life of my dreams, working 2 days a week, never on Monday and having an abundance of time to work on the things I want to be, have and do in my life!
